HSA

The HSA is a committed and dynamic organization that serves as a crucial cornerstone of the Brandywine Wallace community. It organizes and supports a variety of fun and fundraising events, all with the goal of providing excellent education for our children. The HSA works closely with the school to ensure that communication is effective and activities are coordinated. Volunteers from the HSA contribute to various aspects of school life, including classroom initiatives, lunchroom oversight, library assistance, and serving as classroom mentors. The HSA is dedicated to enhancing both the educational and social well-being of our school.

2023-2024 Home & School Board

Through various efforts and events, the Home and School Association supports Brandywine Wallace by strengthening parent-to-parent and parent-to-school relationships. In all things, the Home and School Association aims to:

• Open lines of communication between teachers, staff, and our families to encourage community involvement in school activities
• Promote the overall growth and well-being of our children
• Offer opportunities to enrich our school programs and activities for all children and their families
• Provide community representation at the District level through the Joint Home and School Association

To meet these objectives, the Home & School enhances the student experience by providing many activities and services to the school that are not provided by the school district. The Home & School pays for assemblies, field trips for each student, playground equipment, Fall & Spring activities, Scholastic memberships for classrooms, and much more.

Those are just a few of the activities supported by the HSA to raise funds that directly support our school. Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer their time whenever possible.

If you want to join a committee, please contact a board member. We couldn’t do it without the volunteers who assist with these events! Even if you can only donate a little time, every little bit helps!

Together, we can achieve our shared goals of supporting our children, the school, and the entire Brandywine Wallace community.

All parents, teachers, and staff are invited and encouraged to attend Home and School Association meetings. HSA meetings are an exciting way to meet people and learn more about the school.

What happens at a meeting?

• A copy of the agenda is provided for those in attendance, which includes (but is not limited to):

  • School-wide updates from the principal and teacher representative

  • Updates provided by the HSA Executive Board

  • Updates from the various committee members

  • Faculty/parent/board member comments and questions are addressed

All meetings start at 7:00pm. This year we will be doing a hybrid of in-person and on ZOOM.

At the beginning of the school year don't forget to sign your family up in Membership Toolkit. The HSA runs all of our fundraising through this platform. Once you are signed up, you'll have to reverify your info every year. You'll be able to see classmate info for birthday parties and see your teacher's favorite things!

Throughout the school year, we offer many opportunities to help raise funds for the HSA to allocate to projects or events for our school. See below for current fundraising opportunities for our families:
