Regular School Day Schedule
Students begin to arrive:
8:30 A.M.
Students enter school/classrooms:
8:30 A.M. - 9:00 A.M.
Official start of school:
9:00 A.M.
Dismissal for all students:
3:35 P.M.
Two-Hour Early Dismissal
Grades FDK - 5: 9:00 A.M. - 1:35 P.M.
Two-Hour Delayed Opening
(usually weather related)
Grades FDK - 5: 11:00 A.M. - 3:35 P.M.
Attendance
- Email absence excuse notes to: BW_Attendance@dasd.org
- Please include student name, teacher, dates of absence and reason.
- If your child will be leaving early or arriving late, please utilize PickUp Patrol.
Student Drop-off/Pick-up
FID Schedules
DASD plans to utilize Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs) for the first five inclement weather days. All levels will begin at 9:00 A.M. and end at 1:30 P.M.

Educational & Family Trips
Persons in parental relation may request that their child be excused from school attendance to participate in an educational trip not sponsored by the school district. Since regular class attendance is a critical component of a student’s education program, the educational benefits of the trip should outweigh the negative impact of the disruption of the student’s educational program.
